Arles Painting (Red Vineyard at Arles) auctioned at $82.5 million
Do you know that the great painter Vincent Van Gogh was not that great during his time? He only sold one painting during his lifetime and that painting is shown above, The Red Vineyard at Arles, which sold for 400 francs. It was bought by Anna Boch, an impressionist painter, member of Les XX and art mecene from Belgium. In 1990 the painting was auctioned at $82.5 million. {source}
